Yeah, typical hibachi style teriyaki chicken. Just like the mall... they have noodles, just like the mall. A plus is they have sushi, so instead of two stars, I put three. :) Kind of expensive though but at least it's good to know that this is nearby in case I am in bad need of sushi. First world problems. eh.

In the words of my idol, J. BIEBER... "Ne-never say neverNe-never say neverNe-never say neverNever say it, never, never say it" I will say it when it comes to Iron Plate. MSG-filled, low quality, garbage that I could not even consume. Straight to the trash. Plus I ordered one tofu dish, which I repeated about six times. Nope, all dishes were the same horrific (cat-like) chicken. Lots of dark meat in there, if that's your thing. This establishment used to be a dry cleaner. The atmoshere is that of a food court from 1988. The worst part the food smelled up my car and house, grotesque.

This place is just like what others mentioned, "habachi type mall food". I think of this place more like an Asian fast food restaurant. Although the food was decent, I was a little disappointed with my order. I chose the Maki roll as one of two sides for my entree. I thought I was getting sushi but what I got was two small egg rolls. Maybe I misunderstood or there was a disconnect with the cooks and cashier. In addition we were charged for shrimp and chicken tempura when we only ordered the chicken but did receive a refund for the mistake. Maybe it was just a series of unfortunate events but I don't think the experience will fare too well for another dine in.

Do not waste your time or money. Do they even serve real chicken? Sure didn't taste like it.. Nasty food and workers have no idea how to talk... I wish I have never ate

OK, this place was not what I expected at all. As I write this, a couple of weeks after my visit, I'm shocked that it is still open. This was fast food, but it wasn't even really fast food done right. My friend got a sushi roll and I privately thought to myself it was a bold choice on her part. I got the hibachi chicken and it was pretty forgettable. We sat and visited for a good hour, and we only saw two other patrons, who looked at the menu and left without ordering. I just don't see what this place really has to offer, other than reasonable prices, fast service and free refills on the soda. Certainly not enough to keep me coming back.

This place has reopened and serves Japanese Food. Very similar to Little Panda at Mayfair Mall food court. I ordered both a rainbow roll and the chicken and shrimp combo, with miso soup. The entire thing tasted good!! I was definitely surprised! And had leftovers into the next day and ate the whole thing. Give it a try!

To sum it up - it is a glorified mall food court hibachi/Asian restaurant. When this placed opened up a few months ago I thought it would be a great addition to my work area for lunch. When you walk in there is a clean, nice seating area and then you notice, "oh, I have to go to the counter to order and get a number." I had half chicken, half beef grilled on the flat top with vegetables (pretty much just thawed out frozen veggies) and noodles. This came to around $9 so definitely reasonable. After you get your meal they have Siracha and Teriyaki sauce at where you fill up your drinks to put on your plate - use it, the dish isn't seasoned at all. A nice touch was that the Hibachi chef (BTW, when I think Hibachi I think sitting around the table and having them make you something not just a glorified line cook adding it to the flat top) came around and asked if everything was alright and gave us 15% off coupons for next time we are in. I wouldn't trust their sushi yet they do have a few rolls you can get if you are daring enough to try them. Check it out for a quick, cheap, average lunch meal yet don't expect it to be anything than moderate at best.

I was hoping that Chris F and Emily F had experienced the flaws of a new business that would get better with time, but no such luck. First you should know that this is not the fun "sit around a hibachi grill while the chef entertains you with his skills" kind of hibachi. It's a guy behind a grill behind a glass counter minus the showmanship. Next you should know that the fish for the "sushi" is frozen, then thawed before it is hidden in a roll. I asked before I ordered so I wouldn't make a costly mistake. Peter C. nailed it when he referred to this place as glorified mall food court hibachi/sushi. I had the beef and shrimp hibachi combo ($8.99). It came with a choice of two sides (white rice, fried rice, noodles, mixed vegetables - again, think mall food court Japanese veggies, or a California Roll). The beef tasted like teriyaki Steak-ums, which would be fine if that's what I was looking for. The shrimp very likely came from a can, and the fried rice was bland. My friend had the hibachi chicken. Flavor was good, as it was on my beef but not what we expected. The California Roll was ok and topped with their not "spicy mayo." If you'll not picky about sushi or hibachi and just want a quick bite of "Asian" food, this will work for you.

Major let-down after this newest addition to the Brown Deer area. While it opened within the last few days, which I always extend grace for the anticipated soft opening short falls, I'm sad to say upon first impression they should have done a test pilot with seasoned eaters that understand what really makes food fantastic. Atmosphere: Fast food vibe Food: I had a noodle dish with chicken and rice. Noodles were super oily which made me reach for a hard acting face wash at the end of the day. And the smell..... had to leave the windows down in the car overnight because of the take-out. You know that smell. I typically give businesses another try. This one I can't. Wish them all the best, but they have a long way to go if they want to make it.

You get what you pay for, just think if it like a fast good place and you'll get more than your money's worth

I certainly hope they check they're reviews and take action to improve because the staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. The issue is the food for the price point. Particularly, the meat---if they used slightly better quality meat, they may be remembered more. The chicken is dark meat and the steak was a very fatty sort of ribeye--the places in the mall are actually better because the meat is flavored more. This is the sort of place you stop in if your in the area but you will probably not remember it again unless you live a block away like me.

I'm not from this area but I thought the food was good. My son ordered the beef hibachi, and I had the sushi. It was good and I liked the free miso soup. I will come back next time I'm in the area.

We stopped here for lunch instead of the Applebee's next door thinking of giving them a shot. The atmosphere reminded me of a mall food court. OK if you are here for a quick lunch on break...but I can't see myself ever coming here outside of that time window. I ordered the create your own sushi rolls (adventurous for a place like this, I know). I got one tuna roll and one crab roll. They let you order the ingredients and watch them make your roll, kind of like a subway. This is ok...but for sushi I generally trust the sushi chef to create their own rolls. The woman making the roll was obviously not a sushi chef (expected), but someone else had to come over and help her make my second roll. I waited maybe 10 minutes for them to make my 2 normal rolls. This would be ok in a higher end sit down place....but here it was a long wait. The ingredients were fairly fresh....just nothing to write home about at all. Both rolls were pretty bland. But maybe I just don't know how to create my own roll without it being bland. I may go back here if a coworker suggests...but I probably wouldn't suggest it myself.
